Meet Suzy Q! She came to us after her owner sadly passed away leaving her without a home. We know she lived with another cat and dog in the home but from what we have learned about her, she had a pretty sheltered life and didn’t get out of the home much or get exposure to new people and things. She is a ray of happiness and truly a wonderful girl when in her element. It took a little time for her to settle into her home (and a lot of area rugs because she is scared of hard/shiny floors) but she has settled in and has been a wonderful foster dog. She is totally house trained and free roam in the home and doesn’t get into any trouble. She is working on a structured meal of high quality dog food and walks. She can be reactive (she likes to put on quite a show) on walks when she sees new people and dogs but we are working on her learning proper walking manners. We don’t think she has ever had experiences with children so we are looking for an adult home only at this time. She loves fluffy toys and would love a home with a couch she can climb up on when the mood strikes. She shares her foster home with another large dog and has recently acclimated to another dog house guest too! She is extremely loving, loyal, and smart!
