Sweet senior Sheepdog Desi is an amazing old gal who landed in a local shelter. She is a total trip. She still has lots of pep in her step and has been a total trooper through her medical treatments to get her as healthy as we can. She had a skin infection, ear infections, her left eye removed, and large mass removed, and a much needed hair cut. We are now happy to report that he skin looks great, her ears are clear, her hair is growing back, and she has fully recovered from her operations. The bad news – her eye and tumor did come back as cancer. Her lab work and X-rays did show clear but the reality is that this old girl might end up with other complications and that is a timeline no one really knows. What we do know is that she is in great spirits and has a lot of life left in her. She LOVES toys especially if they are squeaky and fluffy. She does very well with other dogs and cats. She is older so we do have her on some joint support for any aches she may have and are working on her dropping a few pounds to help her mobility. Desi deserves a loving forever home in her senior years and will bring a ton of love and entertainment to the family who chooses to adopt her.
